#ThrowbackThursday : Taughannock Falls, Upstate NY

During this cold weather spell (winter), my mind has been wandering to warmer times, such as this – a visit to the Finger Lakes during summer.

After a few stop offs at local wineries, we pitched our tents in Taughannock Falls State Park campground (a gorgeous setting) and then meandered up to the to falls. What they lack in width, they make up for in height (higher than Niagara, I was told).

It’s gorgeous and leafy and serene. Yet, still very difficult for me to pronounce. Though unless I had to ask someone for directions, the name wouldn’t stop me returning.
