It’s the most wonderful time of the TV year… Christmas.
Finally, all of our favourite films are on within the space of a few days. And for once, we’re all at home to watch them. As fantastic as this is, it can be overwhelming. Personally, I like to make a list of all the films and TV shows that I’m planning to binge watch. One thing tends to make it to the top of my list…
The film that says its Christmas to me, that I’ve watched every year with my Dad for I don’t know how many years, is National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. If you’ve never seen a National Lampoon’s Vacation film, this one is a good place to start. It’s not the first in the series, but it doesn’t take a genius to workout what’s happening; it’s a scenario we all recognise – the festive fun of all the family coming together at Christmas. When you’re the Griswolds this can only end badly.
I’m sure you have seen it, I mean it’s on every year. But if not, it’s on at 3 50pm on ITV 1 this Christmas Eve (British TV) and I recommend you make watching it a priority. Then, once you’re done watching that, watch all the other Vacation films. Including the brand new one (which is hilarious btw). Oh, and Elf. And the Santa Clause. And Holiday Inn.
