Weekly travel playlist time!
This week I’ve titled ‘Road Trip Records’, because although I’m only putting forward two songs from each artist, their whole albums could carry you through a trip. There’s a bunch of different stuff on them; upbeat, emosh, rocky, poppy, acoustic… Something for all ears. It’s especially helpful if you only have a CD player and space in your bag for one CD. We’ve all been there.
Houndmouth – Say It
This song is nice and upbeat, and something I’ve definitely found myself shouting out to in the car…
“YOU AIN’T BEEN HAPPY FOR ABOUT A YEAR, CAUSE YOUR EXPECTATIONS ARE WAY UP HEERREE.” (Something sort of like that)
Two of my other favourite’s (that are titled in an incredibly apt manner for a road trip) are ‘Gasoline’ and ‘On The Road’.
Click ’em up, you know you want to.
Raury – Devil’s Whisper
I also recommend checking out his song ‘Friends‘ (and the rest of the album ‘All We Need’), partly for the song, but also because of the amahzing road trip music video. Plus it’s called Friends, and they’re always a nice addition to a trip. I mean, even if you’re by yourself, you can bring some mates with you with this song’s inclusion.
P.S. The rest of the playlist so far can be found right here.
